Finally after much procrastination.. An entry after the arrival of Princess Chloe!

Princess Chloe has arrived!
My Precious Ger Chloe Chen Wanxuan joined our family
on the 2nd September 2009 at 11 02 hours. At birth, she weighed 2725gms and 48cm in length.

These are just some of the photos taken few days after her birth.. anyway in case u're interested to know.. here's my Birth Story...

01/09/2009 6.40am: Bloody show when peeing. dunno to call gynae / admission to Mt A straight.. Hb say no pain juz wait & observe.

8.30am: Decided to call gynae & was asked to go down to his clinic at Gleneagles. Went shower & headed to clinic w my mum.

10.10am: Reached clinic. Pee test, CTG monitor on bb's heartrate & contractions. Another Strep b test & VE examinations. Dilated 1cm. Water level lower at rate 8. Gynae suggest induction n to chk into Mt A straight or wait till 12mn if wan to save on a day's room fee. Decided to hv lunch then admission straight.

1.30pm: reached mt A n headed straight to delivery suite. Changed into robe, liquid medication for poo poo applied. Insert tablet to soften cervix opening. Strapped to CTG again.

5pm: Transferred to deluxe ward to rest.

8.15pm: Intense contractions suddenly started at 5 mins interval. VE done by nurse only dilated 1.5cm.

9pm: Transferred back to delivery suite again to use pain relief laughing gas.

11pm - 3am: More intensed contractions, asked for other pain relief method. Injected 2 jabs on buttocks for me to sleep.. but doesn't lessen pain at all.

9am: Finally saw gynae, VE at 2cm dilation. BB heartrate got lower at each intense contractions, water bag broke by gynae & headed for emergency C sect, requested for epidural n anaesthethist came within 5 mins. Applied epidural n lots of nurses came into rm to help.. Transferred to another bed n pushed to OT.

10.45am: Anaesthethist increased dosage of epidural. Felt Gynae jab many jabs on tummy. Lots of pushing n tugging at tummy area.. can stl feel little pain.

02/09/2009 11.02am: Heard princess loud n active cries. Burst into tears myself.. princess was placed on my chest for awhile.. then taken to weigh n bath. Anaesthethist gv some sleeping med for me to sleep while gynae stitched my wound n delivered placenta. Pushed to observation area cos felt breathless n dried throat unable to swallow saliva n shivered damn lots due to epidural. Can't drink water also.. only by droplets.

12pm: Pushed to temporary double bedded rm as single n deluxe wards all full..

03/09/09: Expect to b changed to single or deluxe ward.

Was on drip w painkiller thereafter, unable to start bfing bb ger due to whole body numbness frm epidural. Princess was on formula. Expected to try bfing the following day.

Total took 21 hrs for princess to make her grand entrance. but alls worth while.. though expect to c huge bills upon discharge. Hubby called mine a COMBO cos i had laughing gas + 2 jabs on butt/thighs + epidural + mine was a emergency c-sec thus all these made up COMBO. lol..

hope tis birth story not tt boring to u all.

Some ppl said c-sec stay is 4d3n but i was discharged on the 3rd day as my package only 3 days for c-sec.. n my gynae made me get out of my bed to try walking n going to the toilet on the 2nd day. Tell u it's damn painful lo
the journey from my bed to the toilet was like The Great Wall of China, that long! On the day i was discharged, the journey from my ward to the nursery was even longer.. I walked like neverending..

Anyway, am unable to bf her so had to resort to pumping all the milk out and bottlefeed instead. Hubby had to go buy a $388.00 Medela Electric pump on the day i discharged so that i could start pumping milk for Chloe to drink..

OH BTW, thanks to all those who visited me & Chloe when i was in the hospital. Ppl like Ah huiz n Soo engz.. Sharon Jie n Chris.. and also the other Sharon, JAn, Siqi n Hamie..

Shall post more photos when i hv the time to.. nowadays its totally lack of sleep.. and this will last forever now.. plus my parents might be heading back to perth after my confinement.. which means it's going to be just HB, Chloe and I...and i had to look after her on my own then.. which also means tougher jobs ahead.. persevere!!!
