1st Post of 2008.. *A Late Entry*

Super Belated Well Wishes to All..Merry Xmaz & Happy New Year!
Went BBQing at a frens place to celebrate New Year.

Super Belated Birthday Wishes to Hubby.. Happy 31st Birthday!

Bought a Yummy Four Leave cake for hubby secretly and hid it in the fridge. Didnt know what to get him for his birthday..spend few weeks thinking thinking thinking..in the end, decided to get him a pair of Levi's jeans.

At the stroke of midnight 11/1/08, brought the cake and the present out and sang a birthday song to him.

U thk tt's the end of it? No. The following day, which was stl the actual birthday, went to Jurong Point early early to collect the pre-ordered bouquet of roses and bought loads of Polar Puff Pastries. Had earlier arranged for courier service to help deliver the roses and snacks down to his office. Courier guy picked up the stuff at 1pm and delivered them at 2.15pm. Wanted him to deliver and reach at 3pm. Damn efficient.

Received an sms at 2.20pm from Hubby - "Just wanna thank you for the flower ... So sweet of you.." =)
Happy Happy~

2008 didn't really started off that well for me.. Wedding preparations got stalled for a moment. $$$$ got cheated. I'm sure some of you hv already knew abt the sudden closure of a bridal shop from IMM. Tat's the one i engaged..Focus Bridal-so sucky! Anyway, hv already went to the small claims though chances are slim.

Everything's back on track again. Engaged Volans Couture at Tanjong Pagar.. they are the ones taking over the shitwork Focus left behind. They managed to find my evening gown but couldn't find my actual day one.

So i chose another actual day piece. Anyway, went for photoshoot last Thursday (17/01/2008).
e
Taken at the start of the day. Started with Kua -> Japanese -> Evening Gown -> Actual Gown -> Outdoor

This one taken at the end of the day. *Tired only after the last shot*

I tell ya, the weather was damn good. *Bright Sunny Day* The day started at 7.30am where we got up, changed and made our way to the bridal shop at Tanjong Pagar.

Our appt was supposed to be at 9am but we were 15 mins late. When we arrived, we saw a lady alone in the shop. She's our make up artist Lishi. I tell you.. her make up skills also not bad one ok.. She's the lady handling my make up on the actual day. My mum and sis-in-law also engaging her for their make up on my big day.

9.30am (Make Up) :
Lishi started to take a pix of me b4 make up. On with the trimming of brows and application of ampoule. Then with the make up & hair-do... Half way thru the photographer Guo Long arrived. He's damn pro man.. I'm a very satisfied customer. His assistant, Alson or Ah Sen, also not bad..

10.30 am (KUA) :
This outfit damN daMN dAMN warm man. It's like so 闷 that i feel totally uneasy! We stl hv to walk over to the temple right opposite the bridal shop to take the shots for Kua.Though it's just a super short distance.. but stl cant tahan it. There were afew tourists at the temple and one asked to take a pix with me which i gladly complied.

11 am (Japanese) :
The usual Japanese outfit.. they obviously put a small pillow at the back to make it look the real thing. Another hair-do. They couldn't find the pants for Hubby so i suggested a black cloth wrapped ard him should make do. *haha* no one could tell anyway.

12.10pm (Lunch) :
We were released for our lunch.. but it's lunch in cos the make up artist scared my
make up will melt under the hot sun. So hubby went to tabao...

1pm (Evening Gown) : Changed into my lovely pink gown and did a princessy hairdo.

2pm (Actual Gown) : Changed into my actual gown.. simple & nice. Yet another hair-do..

3pm (Outdoor) :
Changed into my outdoor gown and my last hair-do of the day..Well, we went to 3 locations for photoshooting - Botanical Gardens, Punggol Beach & Keppel Bay. It was my first visit to all three locations. Well, my favourite was Punggol Beach cos that's where we managed to capture beautiful sunset.. and it rained immediately after
we captured our last few shots of sunset. That's just so amazing. We had to quickly run back to the car and it's quite a distance. However, Keppel Bay wasn't raining at all when we reached. It's a rather new place, opened for less than 10 days according to the photographer. Nice bridge though we didnt relli take many shots there..

8.45pm (End) : Back to the bridal shop after a whole day of stiff smileys and aching postures.

On the overall, I am very pleased with the services this bridal shop has rendered.. at least up till now. The customer service by the bosses and the staffs..with tea served on every visit.. friendly, polite and full of crappy jokes. *haha* Photography-wise it's a definite 10/10..services-wise it's a 9/10.

They are efficient too u know? Photos were ready for choosing on 20/1/08. They took a total of 131 pix but due to budget constraint. We only managed to choose 44 pcs. However the boss was very very nice to give us very good rates for 52pcs + Magazine style cover. Really very grateful for that. They relli try to help within their means man.

Hv arranged to go see the completed designs on 30/1/08. Am so looking forward to it. Anyway, hubby've already paid like so damn much just for this wedding.

$1500.00 lost from FB + $2000.00 (VC) = $3500.00, stl got another $1800.00 to go..

Also the tiniest bits of details..also need money one.. just for the preparations for photoshoots..we spent on these..

We went to Monsoon at Jurong Point for colouring + highlighting + cut + treatment

End result..I did reddish highlights on Dark Violet base..not very obvious here..but received quite well feedbacks from ppl. Total cost for our hair = $310.00

Went to Gek Poh Shopping Centre's Nail Escape for Manicure and Pedicure too.. They've got this massage chair that's like so shiok..
The Bridesmaids and Groomsmen came over to our place last weekend to discuss about our wedding stuff. My Bridesmaids Gang consists of Sharon, Janine, Siqi and Daphne and the Groomsmen Gang consists of Ben, Leroy, Vincent and Kit.

The discussion session eventually became a mahjong session cum mini hen's nite and bachelor's nite. Cos the ladies played mahjong and the guys headed out to "Chevron" for drinks. god knows if they relli headed to Chevrons anyway. *HAh*
Anyway, Bro and family went for a family photoshoot too..

Ceraph and Cheyenne have grown so big.. Can't wait to see them in end Feb.. Ceraph is going to be my flowerboy.

So excited.
